Things I know about West Buechel, Kentucky

 West Buechel, Kentucky is a Home Rule class city with a resident population of about 1,300. The City of West Buechel is located within Jefferson County and it includes Bashford Manor Mall. The City operates under a Mayor-Council plan of government.

These are a few things I know about West Buechel City government:

1. Approximately $250,000 in 2015 ad valorem taxes (property taxes) were illegally collected.

2. About $1,000,000 in insurance premium taxes were illegally collected over the last five years.

3. All of these illegally collected taxes are subject to refund to the property owners and insurance policy holders who paid them.
